The School has a generous Games Hall, off which there is an impressive Workout Room. The Hall is of a sufficient size to be used for assemblies and presentations. Netherwood covers a 13.5 acre site with plenty of grass playing areas. There is also a hard-surfaced outdoor playing area marked for Netball, Basketball and Tennis. Local swimming pools and leisure centres are also used.

Sport is seen as being of great importance both for health and relaxation - the person who works hard needs also to play hard. There is therefore an adequate proportion of Games and Physical Exercise on the timetable. Competitively, we play both 'state' and 'independent' schools and are often successful against schools that are several times the size of Netherwood. Whatever the result, emphasis is placed on enjoying matches and playing them in a good spirit.

Sports including Rugby, Soccer, Netball, Swimming, Athletics, Cross-Country, Rounders, Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Baseball and Softball are included on a regular basis, while countless others are tried from time-to-time.

Netherwood offers a wide range of Extra-curricular Activities. We see these activities as being essential to the process of broadening the mind and developing the character. Top of the list is the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, which provides the student with a convincing programme of commitment to better themselves and to serve others while earning their award.

Other notable activities include Golf, Riding, Shooting, Sailing, Sea Fishing, Ballet and Modern Dance, Drama, Musical Instrument Lessons, Gardening Club, Art Club, Computer Club. Boarders are also taken Rambling along the scenic coastline of Pembrokeshire.

The School runs regular trips abroad. Secondary pupils have been on Homestay visits to France and Germany, as well as visiting EuroDisney.

Skiing holidays have been taken to many European countries and the U.S.A. and Canada are always being considered.
